Calendar & Events

Sunday, September 10 is our Annual Friends Day

This year’s featured speaker is Delton McGuire.

He will tackle the subject of “Parenting in a Media-Filled World.”

Sexting. Cyberbullying. Online predators. None of those dangers even existed a generation ago, yet today parents must constantly wrestle with the influence and consequences of ever-present media that seems to know no boundaries.

Mr. McGuire received a B.A. Mass Communication/Journalism from Oklahoma Christian University and his M.A. Communication from Stephen F. Austin State University.

He and his wife, Valerie, have worked with children and families in Christian child care and education for more than 26 years. McGuire’s experiences include preaching ministry, therapeutic foster care, and teaching at the collegiate level.  In graduate school he specialized in media effects, which laid the foundation for these presentations.

Northside Church of Christ is located at 2020 North Center Street in Bonham.
